Is the procedure painful?
Not significantly. At Derma Aesthesis, we apply the LP (Low Pain) protocol, starting with a topical anesthetic cream followed by approximately 70% fewer injections compared to conventional methods. The donor area becomes fully numb, and patients report no discomfort during the procedure.
Will I experience pain after the procedure?
In 95% of cases, patients report minimal or no post-operative pain. The procedure is minimally invasive and classified as a dermatological microsurgery. Graft extraction is performed using a 1.0 mm FUE punch, while implantation is done using an Implanter without pre-made recipient sites.
What is the graft survival rate?
The survival rate ranges from 95% to 100% and is attributed to the specialized handling of grafts by trained personnel, their preservation at a constant temperature of 4-8°C, the use of a special American isotonic preservation fluid considered the most ideal worldwide, and their immediate implantation with an Implanter without creating incisions and without the use of forceps.
Are the transplanted hairs permanent?
Yes. The follicles retain their genetic resistance to DHT even after relocation, ensuring permanent, lifelong results.
When will I see visible results?
Initial results begin to appear around 6 months post-procedure. The use of minimally handled grafts and the direct implantation technique accelerate recovery and hair growth compared to older techniques.
How many times can someone undergo a hair transplant?
On average, 3–4 sessions are possible, depending on the quality of the donor area. In select cases, up to 7 sessions have been successfully performed. A healthy donor zone typically yields between 4,000–6,000 grafts for natural density.
If I shave my head to 2mm, how soon will it look “normal”?
Both donor and recipient areas fully heal within 10 days. The first gentle wash takes place on day 3, and redness gradually subsides. Patients may wear a hat from day one.
How long does the procedure last, and what should I expect?
The procedure lasts approximately 8 hours, including a break for lunch. The experience is comfortable and relaxed, often accompanied by music, light conversation, or even sleep. For two-day sessions: 6–7 hours per day.
Will the procedure leave visible marks?
No. When performed correctly by a skilled medical team, the FUE technique with punch extraction and direct implantation ensures that no visible scarring remains, and the skin maintains optimal condition.
